About

#about

Everything I build runs under Micah Lloyd Technologies LLC, my registered umbrella with no outside capital. Inside it lives NoBase, the LLC's in-house SaaS — a single dashboard for managing Linux server infrastructure and Docker apps — alongside the freelance side that delivers custom software end-to-end for clients. Before both, I ran Portal Volleyball for three years (2021 – 2024), a multi-tenant SaaS for volleyball coaches, players, and parents.

The dev work is the easy part. Around it sits client scoping calls, contracts, hosting accounts, Stripe and tax setup, invoicing, monthly maintenance, and the late-night message when a button stops working. I handle all of it, from concept to live production, with no staffing layer in between.

Operating principles

#principles
01 / boring_stack

Boring tech on purpose.

Postgres before everything new. React before fashionable. Rust only when the constraint requires it. Fewer surprises, better sleep, and easier handoffs to the next operator.
02 / ship_observe_adjust

Ship → observe → adjust.

Regular releases over heroic launches. Watch what users actually do, then move one variable. Feedback compounds, not features.
03 / own_the_lifecycle

Own the full lifecycle.

Scoping, building, deploying, maintaining, hosting; every stage. No staffing layer, no subcontractors. The person on the call is the person in the codebase.
04 / stay_around

Stay around to fix what breaks.

Every project ends with a quiet maintenance contract on the table. Sized the business so I can say yes.

Letters from clients

#letters
I hired Micah to develop a front-end for an AI-based product. He turned out to be more than a coder. He understands and can implement cloud infrastructure, UI design standards, and act as a facilitator to keep teams working smoothly. Highly recommended.
